UNSW AccSoc Presents: Networking & Apps [MRP Stage 1]

With many vacationer and graduate opportunities open now, it’s the perfect time for AccSoc to announce our Mock Recruitment Process (MRP)! This 5 week series will feature a separate event each week, where each week represents a different stage of the recruitment process – the same process used by the Big 4 accounting firms, banks and many of the ‘Top100 list’ of employers!

The first stage is Networking and Applications. Check out an upcoming post displaying all five events and keep an eye out for any event you are interested in as details will be released throughout the 5 weeks!

Our first event, Networking and Apps, will explore how YOU can make a lasting impression to Human Resources and how YOU can differentiate yourself from other students. Both networking and applications are the first point of contact with recruiters so it’s a very important step in the whole recruitment process.

During this two hour workshop, we will be discussing tips on how to network with representatives. As well as what to do and what not to do! There will also be representatives from Clayton Utz, a Big 6 Law firm, who will provide their insight on what they look for and what they want to see from applicants during the first stage.

We will also be holding a networking session at the end to allow you to mingle with students as well as the Clayton Utz representatives present!

Date: Wednesday 6 March
When: 1PM – 3PM
Location: The Place G23 Business School
