Not sure how to stand out in group interviews or Assessment Centres? Whether it’s your first or fifth time, you’ll never come across the same interview group twice or be subjected to the same group dynamics. This is exactly what makes this recruiting stage even harder than the last three!
To guide you, AccSoc will be running our very own Mock Assessment Centre!
—– What are Assessment Centres? —–
Many employers, such as the Big 4, run Assessment Centres (ACs) to assess candidates based on a selective list of competencies, such as teamwork, leadership, creativity and communication. Common types of activities run during ACs include group activities (e.g. building a model), case studies (e.g. propose a solution to a problem or new idea), technical exercises (e.g. coding) and roleplays.
It is difficult to prepare for ACs but you can always familiarise yourself with what to expect and gain insight through practicing in team environments, like AccSoc’s Mock AC!
—– AccSoc’s MRP Stage 4: Mock Assessment Centre —–
AccSoc will be simulating an Assessment Centre, where tips and tricks on good AC technique/strategy will be presented by external facilitators provided by our partner Development Beyond Learning!
Like a real AC, attendees will be sorted into groups and assessed through their ability to work together to find an appropriate solution to a mock case study! Experienced industry representatives will be reviewing both your group and your INDIVIDUAL performance, and providing you with valuable feedback so you can see what you did well and what you can improve on.
