UNSW AccSoc Presents: ADP Mentoree Recruitment

The AccSoc Development Program (ADP) is returning in Semester 2 2018! We’re looking for a team of passionate mentors to guide a cohort of fresh faces both personally and professionally.

For the very first time ADP mentors (now mentorees) will also be provided with their very own professional mentors who are currently out of university and in the workforce within our sponsored/partnered firms.

ADP is one of AccSoc’s flagship programs in bridging the gap between UNSW students and the professional world. Experienced mentorees are paired with first year students and over a course of a few weeks, volunteer their time to exploring the professional and academic opportunities of their mentees. Mentoring is a valuable development opportunity for you to build on existing skills, such as leadership, communication and organisation, and for you to reflect on the best practices that have propelled your career!

As an ADP mentoree, you’ll be also connected with a network of fellow mentorees and close access to the current AccSoc team. Aside from the official ADP schedule, mentors participate in fun social and educational events throughout the semester. This is a truly rewarding and satisfying opportunity or mentors to extend their UNSW student experience and gain managerial experience.

Here’s what we are looking for in ADP mentorees:
Holds UNSW and industry knowledge (this is not limited to just accounting or business!)
Friendly, positive and approachable attitude
Willingness to communicate, listen and provide feedback
Strong organisational and time management skills

To be eligible, you must be available to attend an interview starting from the 9th of July, as well as the ADP Training Day (28/07/18). Dates for social and educational events will be released as the program rolls throughout the year but attendance is mandatory (and worthwhile)!
