Tax

Our Tax Division advises public, private and multinational companies to understand the seemingly unrelenting tax pressures our clients face and how best to deal with them. We help to identify and manage tax risks before they become a problem, maximise opportunities and minimise tax exposure for businesses, take realistic tax positions and ensure compliance with all ATO requirements so that our clients can focus on the bigger picture.

Made up of a number of specialist Tax areas, our teamwork on a broad range of clients, industries and have the opportunity to work with and learn from different Partners, Managers and team.

ESV Junior Advisor

You will join our team as a Junior Advisor and be partnered up with experienced professionals who will mentor and guide you throughout your journey as you gain exposure
to client work.

Junior Advisors will join 1 of 8 teams specialising in Business Services, Tax, and External Audit beginning from approximately July /August 2023 or earlier.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Learn everything from a technical perspective and put your university learnings to practical use.
  • Enhance your accounting skills beginning with bookkeeping and recurring compliance work including income tax returns and BAS, payroll, AP and AR.
  • Within 12 – 24 months, progress to more strategic work such as outsourced CFO functions for other businesses

What you need to succeed

  • Graduated with a Business-related university degree with a focus in Accounting, or be enrolled (with 4 or less subjects to complete)
  • Started or keen to start your CA (Chartered Accountants Graduate Diploma) journey
  • Have strong attention to detail and take initiative to deliver high quality work
  • Be a team player
  • Clear communication skills

Cadet Program

If you are an ambitious individual currently studying at university but seeking real-world work experience in audit, tax or business advisory whilst you study, Mazars is the smart choice. The cadet student program at Mazars is a part time role which allows you to gain hands-on experience and training whilst also managing your university studies. As a cadet your role will include assisting and reporting to seniors, managers and partners in your team, developing a deep understanding of the key drivers of clients, making significant contribution to the preparation of client deliverables, and communicating with key client stakeholders.

Graduate Program

If you have finished or are close to finishing university and are wanting a graduate role at a globally integrated audit, tax and advisory firm with training and growth opportunities, Mazars is the smart choice. The graduate program is a 12-month permanent full-time position and is the perfect way to kick start your career in accounting. Your role will predominantly include assisting and reporting to seniors, managers and partners in your team, developing a deep understanding of the key drivers of clients, making significant contribution to the preparation of client deliverables, and communicating with key client stakeholders.
